Hereditary Dental Diseases
When we nd dental and occlusal disorders in the clinic, vets are not only asked for signi cance and treatment options, we are also asked if the condition is hereditary. There is very little literature and evidence based science in this eld, but I will try to give some guidelines to help in the evaluation if an abnormal nding is hereditary or not and depending on the clinical severity should expel the individual from breeding.
